2 x Level 2 Highways Maintenance Apprentices
£4.50 per hour increasing to £5.30 per hour after successful completion of the probationary period
This is an exciting opportunity to join a professional works team, maintaining and improving highways, footpaths and open spaces in the Borough of Poole.
You will not need previous experience in highway maintenance but you should ideally have some practical experience of construction, DIY or outdoor maintenance activities along with a keen interest in working in highways. Enthusiasm for working outside and willingness to learn new skills will be essential.

Working to a high standard using some of the most modern equipment available, you will be carrying out a wide range of highways maintenance activities and construction related tasks including traffic management, repair and laying of surfacing, pipework and ducting, signage and barrier repair.
Attending South West Highways in Exeter, Devon, on a 2 weekly block release basis, you will work towards a level 2 apprenticeship in civil engineering – highways maintenance.
