An exciting opportunity has arisen to become the first joint Executive Head of both Virtual Schools in Bournemouth and Poole.
The Executive Head of the Virtual Schools is a new joint appointment operating across both Bournemouth Borough Council and the Borough of Poole. The post assumes the role of the Executive Headteacher of both Bournemouth and Poole’s Virtual Schools and will be accountable to both councils for their statutory duties relating to the educational needs, provision and outcomes for Looked After Children.
This post will provide leadership and line management to two teams of highly qualified and motivated professionals, ensuring that the teams support, complement and coordinate the work of professionals in improving educational outcomes for Looked After Children.
You will be a qualified teacher with experience of school headship or senior leadership linked to school improvement, and have substantial senior level experience of supporting children in care in educational settings.
You will be engaging and enthusiastic with excellent communication skills, and be committed to improving outcomes for children and young people in Bournemouth and Poole.
